We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Material Handler to support our production operations. This role is responsible for the efficient and accurate movement of materials to and from workstations using forklifts and cranes, while ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport materials to and from designated workstations using forklifts in accordance with Marwood Operating StandardsLoad and unload materials from trucks and loading docks using lift trucks and/or overhead cranesComplete daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance using the Lift Truck Daily Inspection SheetMaintain proper material flow using FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles and ensure timely inventory scanning via PLEX/computer systemsPrepare shipping documents including bills of lading, customs forms, and invoicesIdentify and report missing or incorrect information on tags to the Team Leader or Production SupervisorVerify incoming materials against packing slips; document shortages and report any damaged goodsUnderstand and follow correct documentation procedures for all material handling tasksSafely manage traffic areas during the loading, unloading, and movement of bins, totes, and racksOversee the staging, packing, weighing, sorting, and unpacking of materials as requiredEnsure proper staging of materials for daily inventory and production needsAccurately identify, scan, and track materials and part numbers using PLEX, hand scanners, and other toolsMonitor inventory levels and alert the Production Supervisor of any potential shortagesConsistently follow safe work practices and adhere to all company policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedQualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or GED/CAEC requiredValid Lift Truck Certification and Overhead Crane License are considered strong assetsAbility to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracyExcellent attendance and punctualityMarwood is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive company culture.
