Industry: Automotive Manufacturing - Tier 1 OEM Supplier

Shift: Afternoons Mon-Thurs (4p - 2a)

  • The Quality Technician is required to work with all production departments in ensuring weld integrity of product and provide support to the internal labs.

    Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and perform weld verification requirements for plant and customer needs ensuring accuracy to the required test standards
  • Provide weld verification support for new product activities, process change activities and problem investigations
  • Create and maintain proper documentation of inspection results
  • Maintain microscope in good working condition and perform validation checks during and after machine use
  • Maintain weekly and monthly reporting metrics
  • Provide support for CMM and Laser Scanner measurement activities
  • Provide support for Gauge Calibration and Repair activities
  • All other relevant duties
  • Minimum Education / Training Required

  • Quality Assurance Certificate or equivalent certificate or diploma
  • Grade 12, GED, or equivalent
  • 3 years related experience in Tier 1 Automotive manufacturing
  • Knowledge of GD&T and Blueprint data interpretation
  • 3 years experience with stamping, welding and assembly processes
  • Computer efficiency and systems knowledge in all required areas (i.e. Windows, Excel, Word)
