Contract opportunity with Yoh’s Occupational Health client located in Ingersoll, Ontario, Canada. The Nurse is responsible for providing emergency care, first aid and episodic treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses. This position works toward the prevention of illness and injury, protection from work‑related and environmental hazards, and promotion and restoration of health.
ScheduleThursday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (one day per week)
Duration9 months with possible extension
Pay$30‑38 per hour
Estimated minimum rate: $30.00, estimated maximum rate: $38.00
What You’ll Be Doing- Provision of first aid and medical treatments
- Communicating safety concerns to the appropriate managers
- Maintaining team member health records and preparing accident reports
- Providing pre‑employment medicals/physicals, including hearing and vision screening, and health and fitness advice
- Assisting injured employees returning to work from medical leave
- Contacting doctors and/or hospitals, as necessary, to arrange further treatment
- Keeping up to date with legal and professional changes associated with occupational health and safety
- RN Diploma/Associate degree required, BSN or BS preferred
- Valid nursing license
- Two or more years of nursing experience preferred – ER, ICU, occupational health, acute care, or related ideal
- Certified in Healthcare Provider CPR/AED
