TDMH Registered Practical Nurse- Medical Surgical

Rural Roads Health Services (RRHS) is actively seeking applicants for a Registered Practical Nurse position in the Medical Surgical Department.

Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital

The duration of this temporary contract would be approximately until August 2027, or sooner as determined by RRHS.

• Registered Practical Nurse with current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario is required.
• Must possess current B.L.S. certificate.
• One year of recent nursing experience is preferred.
• Ability to fulfill requirements of full‑time shift rotation.
• Medication Administration course completed.
• Medication Administration experience preferred.
• Well‑developed Patient Assessment, Intervention and Evaluation skills.
• Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize patient care needs.
• Demonstrated ability to function productively in a very demanding environment.
• Demonstrated ability to perform duties independently.
• Demonstrated ability to function productively as a team member in an interdisciplinary setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge in the usage of various programs such as Cerner, Power chart and Microsoft Office.
• Skilled with the interaction of patients and families to provide patient‑focused, goal‑oriented care.
• Ability to demonstrate a commitment to Privacy and Confidentiality.
• Excellent attendance record and work ethics in previous positions.
• Proven experience working in a fast‑paced environment.
• Able to manage multiple competing priorities.
• Strong communication skills with a patient‑centered focus.

• Salary per the UNIFOR collective agreement ($39.50 per hour to $40.25 per hour).

Must be available to work all shifts as required, which may include weekends, statutory holidays, days, evenings and night shifts. Hours are subject to change based on operation needs of the hospital.
