Medical Surgical Registered Practical Nurse

Location: Tillsonburg

Join the team at Rural Roads Health Services as a Registered Practical Nurse in the Medical Surgical Department at Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital. Your expertise in patient assessments and care is greatly valued here.

This is a temporary contract role lasting until August 2027, with possible early completion. Candidates must possess a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and be certified in B.L.S. You will engage in a full-time shift rotation while working efficiently in a demanding environment to prioritize patient needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations

• Administer medications safely and effectively

• Collaborate with healthcare teams for optimal care

• Maintain effective communication with patients and families

• Document care using Cerner and Power chart systems

Requirements:

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• One year of recent nursing experience preferred

• Complete and proficient in Medication Administration

• Ability to work diverse and rotating shifts

• Strong time management skills and team collaboration
