The City of Woodstock is seeking a dedicated part-time Crossing Guard to work under the Crossing Guard Supervisor. Your responsibilities include safely escorting children across designated crossings, adhering to traffic regulations, and reporting any unusual incidents. This role also calls for wearing a reflective vest and using a hand-held Stop Sign to maintain safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Arrive punctually at designated crossing locations
• Escort children across streets while ensuring all vehicles stop
• Report any violations or safety hazards to the Supervisor
• Participate in scheduled Crossing Guard workshops
• Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with the public
Requirements:
• Experience working with children in a safe manner
• Basic computer skills for reporting
• Access to a vehicle for commuting
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Strong communication and observational skills
