Construction Billing Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Billing Specialist to support our team on a short-term, part-time basis. This role focuses primarily on construction billing, with the potential to take on additional responsibilities in project accounting depending on experience. The ideal candidate will bring strong knowledge of construction billing processes, accuracy in financial documentation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.

• Prepare, review, and process construction billings, including progress billings and supporting documentation
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with contract terms, lien waivers, and customer requirements
• Track project expenses, payments, and outstanding receivables
• Maintain organized billing records and update financial data in internal systems
• Communicate with project managers, vendors, and clients to resolve billing discrepancies

If experienced in project accounting:

• Assist with job cost tracking, budget updates, and project financial reporting
• Support month-end close activities related to active construction projects

• Previous experience in construction billing is required
• Familiarity with lien waivers, progress billing formats, and construction contract documentation
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel
