Duties
  • Plans, organizes, develops and directs the overall operation of the nursing department to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage the health care of all residents, including the dissemination of information to families and staff.
  • Assess residents on a scheduled and as‑needed basis, record significant conditions and changes; responsible for nursing department 24/7 and shares on‑call duties.
  • Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
  • Educates and trains care staff.
  • Communicates with physicians and family members as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Maintain a current RN or LPN license in the state.
  • Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of management experience.
  • CPR/First Aid certified.
  • Experience working with people with dementia.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule.
  • Experience working with an electronic health record system.
