Maintenance Crew Members are responsible for providing weekly maintenance service alongside a Maintenance Crew Leader. A Maintenance Crew Member performs the tasks necessary to provide the best landscape maintenance service in an effective and professional manner. This includes, but is not limited to: mowing, edging, pruning, bed monitoring, and blowing.
Specific ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are typical for this classification. Incumbents may not perform all duties listed and/or may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Mow, blow, edge, prune, and bed monitoring
- Stake and prune vines
- Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, etc. for small jobs
- Apply granular chemicals after proper training
- Understand basic fertilizer application techniques
- Have a general understanding of irrigation
- Identify frequently used plants, common weeds and pests
- Make sure customer request are communicated to the Maintenance Crew Leader
- Be responsible for truck inventory
- Identify broken, poorly running, or misused equipment
- Know and be able to use the following tools and equipment:
- Navigator
- 36”
- 21”
- Weed Eater
- Trimmer
- Long Sheers
- Short Sheers
- Blower
The following duties are mandatory for all employees of Quick Design Inc. Incumbents may be required to perform additional or different duties from those set forth below to address business needs and changing business practices.
- Attend regular department meetings
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Be aware of the safety of the public and fellow employees
- Report all unsafe practices or conditions
- Take proper care of tools to avoid loss or misuse
- Wear appropriate uniform clothing as ascribed by company standards
- Have reliable transportation to and from office or assigned job site
- Report to work on time
- Provide outstanding customer service
- Manage time appropriately for all tasks
- Respect fellow employees and management at all times
- Fill out and submit any paperwork in a timely manner
- Report all accidents and personal injuries
- Maintain a good attitude during work
