Position Summary

A Shift Supervisor is a key leader supporting the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance while building consumer loyalty to CVS/pharmacy through a focus on excellent customer service. When there is no manager or Operations Supervisor onsite, the Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures that store operations run smoothly, and is responsible for ensuring the completion of all opening and closing procedures.

Functions
  • Manage and supervise the store’s crew, assigning, directing, and following up on all activities.
  • Work effectively with store management and crew, communicating information both to and from them.
  • Assist customers with questions, problems, and complaints; promote a positive shopping experience and uphold the CVS customer service culture.
  • Maintain customer/patient confidentiality.
  • Price, stock, and display merchandise, ensuring all displays and inventory are maintained for weekly, promotional, and seasonal merchandise, including off-shelf items.
  • Reset departments following Product On-Gap (POG) requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Deductive reasoning ability, analytical skills, and computer skills.
  • Advanced communication and supervision skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early morning, overnight, weekend shifts, overtime, and respond to urgent store issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a retail supervisor.
Education

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.

Pay range: $16.50 - $24.00 per hour (base hourly rate or full‑time salary depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors).
