Position: Recovery Home Specialist (1st Shift)

Recovery Home Specialist (2nd Shift)

Position Purpose

Directly supervise residents, providing continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe, therapeutic environment. Participate as a team member in the delivery of addiction‑treatment services to clients and their families, and facilitate recovery issues.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with 12‑step programs highly desirable
  • Proficiency in adult behavioral management techniques
  • Computer proficiency required
  • Ability to navigate and document in electronic healthcare records required
  • Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the time frames
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet Agency insurance requirements
  • Must have own transportation
Job Responsibilities
  • Work hours prescribed with any additional hours deemed necessary; overtime may be required.
  • Supervise and manage the behavior of residents, providing appropriate behavioral interventions and consequences.
  • Implement therapeutic activities and facilitate the development of independent living skills.
  • Develop and present all resident education.
  • Assist in planning menus with residents and shopping for household items.
  • Supervise daily activities including house jobs, study halls, menu planning, shopping, cooking meals, free time, etc.
  • Consult with other staff and plan daily therapeutic direction for the shift.
  • Facilitate focal group discussion sessions.
  • Attend all scheduled staff meetings such as treatment plan reviews, shift meetings, or committee meetings as designated.
  • Maintain client service records in accordance with rules and regulations.
  • If designated, monitor self‑administration of medicine by residents and record information on the medical log.
  • Perform secure handling of cardholder data, including encryption, data storage limitations, and adherence to security protocols.
  • Participate in mandatory PCI training, access controls, and regular security assessments aligned with PCI Data Security Standard guidelines.
  • Oversee house cleanliness, resident house jobs, and proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • Serve as a member of the Rosecrance Team and participate in all team meetings and activities.
  • Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the professional Code of Conduct and within the framework of the law.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.
  • Serve as a role model and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing the agency.
  • Assume other related responsibilities as delegated by management.
Schedule

Part‑time (24‑hour work week)

2nd Shift: Wednesday, Friday & Saturdays; 3:30 pm – 12:00 am

Pay

Based on education, experience, and credentials:

  • HS/GED – $20.64 per hour
  • Associate’s – $21.69 per hour
  • Bachelor’s – $22.68 per hour
  • Professional Certification (e.g., CADC, CRSS, CPS): +$0.72 per hour (equivalent of +$1,500 annualized)
