EVS Aide – Housekeeping

Location: Woodstock, IL

Base Pay Range: $20.00/hr - $22.00/hr

Responsible for daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient rooms and all other corresponding unit areas. Will follow prescribed departmental cleaning standards in conjunction with infection control and safety procedures.

• Sweeps, dust mops, and wet mops.
• Vacuums, spot cleans walls, cleans glass / ledges.
• Sanitizes patient room surfaces, sanitizes bathrooms.
• Performs discharge cleaning of patient rooms.
• Cleans equipment and notifies the supervisor or lead person of equipment requiring repair. Reports safety hazards to supervisor or lead person.
• Collects trash from patient rooms, nurses' stations, ancillary areas.
• Pulls trash outside around the grounds of the facility.
• Cleans and sanitizes ancillary areas.
• Assists in cleaning of emergency spills observed or reported.
• Performs any other tasks which may be assigned by the supervisor or lead person.

• 3 months - 1 year of environmental services experience in a hospital.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent GED (preferred).
• Follow oral and written instructions.
• Good communication.
• Capable of operating heavy cleaning equipment such as vacuums, housekeeping carts, etc.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Good communication skills.
• Capable of operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums.

Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (15:00 - 23:30)

Job Duration: 3 months (with possibility of contract-to-hire)
