Help Wanted:
Part Time Shelter Veterinarian (1–2 Days/Week)

Join our no-kill, nonprofit animal shelter as a licensed veterinarian to help support our mission of giving vulnerable pets a second chance to find their forever homes.

* Flexible schedule: work 1–2 days per week—ideal for professionals seeking meaningful work without full-time hours, with option to adjust based on shelter needs.

* Supportive environment: work closely with vet techs and trained volunteers (similar to other nonprofit clinics where surgeries are backed by experienced support).

Key Responsibilities

You’ll primarily provide shelter medicine, wellness services, and minor surgical care. This includes:

* Performing routine spay/neuter surgeries.

* Conducting small soft-tissue procedures (e.g., dew claw removals, dentals, tumor or mass removals).

* Administering vaccinations and heartworm treatments, including rabies vaccines.

* Completing pre-op and post-op exams and basic diagnostics.

* Working within shelter medicine protocols.

Qualifications

* Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and current state veterinary license.

* Ability to perform routine surgeries and manage anesthesia & analgesia.

* Strong communicator who collaborates well with staff and volunteers.
