position summary

responsible for providing direct and indirect professional nursing services in a variety of healthcare settings. Duties include conducting nursing assessments; developing and implementing care plans; providing nursing interventions and evaluations; delivering health-related education; coordinating case management; and carrying out medical regimens, including administering medications and treatments prescribed by individuals authorized to prescribe under state law.

key responsibilities

• perform direct and indirect nursing services, including obtaining and documenting patients' temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician or authorized healthcare provider orders and applicable policies and regulations.
• perform a variety of technical nursing tasks to support the health and well-being of patients.
• monitor patients’ conditions and communicate significant changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
• direct and coordinate the activities of direct-care staff on the assigned unit.
• prepare, organize, and distribute medications on the unit in accordance with established medication administration procedures.
• provide patient education and support regarding health, medications, treatments, and care plans.
• maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and records.
• follow established infection-control, safety, and patient-care standards.

minimum qualifications and experience : (level iii) possession of a valid permanent oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the oklahoma board of nursing and three (3) years of practical nursing experience. (level ii) possession of a valid permanent oklahoma license as a licensed practical nurse as approved by the oklahoma board of nursing and one (1) years of practical nursing experience.
