Hybrid Work ModelThis role requires reporting to the office every Tuesday and Wednesday each week and two Thursdays per month. The position may be filled in Woonsocket, RI or another approved hub (Hartford, CT, etc.).
Job DescriptionAs an Enterprise Procurement Contracts Senior Manager, you will support the CVS Health enterprise in drafting, negotiating, and finalizing IT and Non‑IT deals and contractual documents for the purchase of all categories and commodities of non‑merchandise goods and services. You will play a key role in project teams with senior leadership, driving enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives, savings initiatives, and supplier integration efforts related to mergers and acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities- Draft, prepare, and review contract documents in accordance with company policies to minimize exposure while maximizing benefits.
- Negotiate key terms of contracts, including legal and business terms, to provide risk mitigation and value.
- Analyze contract requirements, provisions, and conditions to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Lead special projects and manage large contracts, guiding a team of Contract Analysts to progress high‑visibility engagements.
- Effectively communicate contract intent and terms to internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Legal, Sourcing, Global Security, Information Governance, Risk Management, Privacy, Tax, and Finance to embed policies in contracts.
- Support RFP development and negotiate with vendor counsel, ensuring problematic provisions are surfaced to business leaders.
- Serve as key liaison among Legal, finance, senior leadership, business teams, and vendors for escalated contract issues.
- Mentor staff, support development plans, and drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain and update the Enterprise Procurement Process Manual and templates.
- Identify contractual risks and recommend escalation to Senior Leadership.
- Lead discussions and revisions to contract language for new developments, finalizing template documents.
- Participate in presentations and webinars to educate business departments on compliance.
- Utilize technological tools such as Microsoft Office, SAP/Ariba, Skype for Business, Webex, etc.
- Present to Senior Leadership on complex deal concepts and non‑standard provisions requiring approval.
- Enforce adherence to Corporate Contract and Purchasing policies.
- Manage multiple high‑visibility contracts and closeout initiatives efficiently.
- Work independently and as a team to craft terms that protect CVS.
- 7+ years of contract negotiation experience.
- 7+ years of reviewing, editing, and drafting contractual terms and conditions.
- 7+ years of professional experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and high‑volume negotiations.
- Experience advising senior leadership in a corporate environment.
- Experience as a recurring user of Ariba Contract Management platform (or similar tool).
- Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM).
- Experience negotiating non‑merchandise/indirect commodity purchases.
- Verifiable bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university.
- Master’s degree and/or JD highly desired.
$75,400.00 - $ per year. The base salary depends on experience, education, geography, and other factors. The position is eligible for bonus, commission, short‑term incentive, and equity award programs.
