The Dental Assistant is responsible for providing hands‑on support to the Dentist, completing preparation work to efficiently care for patients and assist during dental procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• X-Ray Certification (or completion within 6 months of hire)
• BLS Certification
• Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Consistently professional appearance and attitude.
• Able to provide great patient care.

• 1 year experience as a dental assistant

• Sterilization of dental instruments
• Demonstrating and developing x-ray films
• Taking alginate impressions
• Ability to take clear x-ray films
• Document vitals and chief complaints in chart
• Document notes in chart
• Document treatment plan in chart

The duties of this position are performed onsite at a Thundermist location.

This position requires the use of fingers and hand manipulation using instruments and dental equipment. On feet most of the day.

As determined with department hiring needs.

Must be available for overtime, including nights and weekends, when necessary.

This position requires the ability to verbally communicate with patients.
