Girl Scouts Of Southeastern New England Program Facilitator
Girl Scouts of Southeastern New England (GSSNE) is seeking enthusiastic, responsible, and reliable individuals who have experience working with children to facilitate weekly Girl Scout programs at schools and community centers in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. Program facilitators prepare and run fun, hands-on activities that help Girl Scouts earn badges and build confidence and leadership skills. GSSNE provides training, program curriculum, supplies, and materials.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend all program trainings held throughout the program year.
- Travel to and facilitate Girl Scout programs at assigned sites.
- Follow GSSNE program plans using the supplies and materials provided by GSSNE.
- Maintain an accurate roster of participants at assigned program sites and communicating any changes to rosters with Program Managers.
- Accurately track participant attendance.
- Communicate clearly with Program Manager regarding plans, activities, programmatic changes, and experiences with program partners and sites.
- Help build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
- Follow guidelines regarding health and safety of the participants.
- Coordinate and communicate with the program site staff as needed.
- Be responsible for all supplies and materials distributed by GSSNE and return leftover supplies and materials at the end of the program cycle.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years old or older.
- 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience working with children is preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check (not applicable under 18 years old).
- Must have reliable transportation.
Schedule:
Based on availability and program site schedule. Each facilitator will coordinate their schedule with the Program Manager.
Pay: $17.00 per hour, with a minimum of 3 hours paid ($51.00) per program meeting.
