POSITION SUMMARY:
Plans and implements the delivery of Early Intervention services to eligible children and their families from intake through transition according to RI Operational Standards and Individual Family Service Plans. Services are provided in collaboration with families and other team members in a coaching model that reflect the priorities of the family in a manner that is developmentally appropriate. Coaching incorporates goals and strategies within daily home routines.
Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team in promoting excellence in the field and adhering to agency professional standards of care in order to continuously improve the quality-of service delivery.
- Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, OR
- Certified by the Rhode Island Department of Education as an Early Childhood Education teacher, Early Childhood Special Education teacher
- Minimum 1-3 years direct service experience with young children with special needs and their families.
- Provide services in family homes or the community.
- Provide coaching and education on various topics related to child development and parent-child interactions.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships.
- Effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Reliable transportation is necessary.
