Position

Summary

The AVP, Human Resources will be the senior strategic HR thought partner for our Finance department, shaping its future and aligning with CVS Health business goals. They will develop talent strategies, drive recruiting, optimize organization design, enhance colleague learning, manage growth and development, and lead change management initiatives. They will also support cross‑business unit talent strategies and mobility.

Major Responsibilities
  • Deliver strategic advisory consulting to executive business leaders to foster best‑in‑class talent solutions, aligning talent management practices and workforce effectiveness with evolving business strategy.
  • Build talent bench strength and robust succession planning by consulting on selection, onboarding, engagement, development, movement/rotation, performance assessment, pay and rewards/recognition.
  • Team with business leaders to organize optimal structure and human capital requirements; evaluate and adjust human capital based on evolving business needs.
  • Champion a change‑capable organization, orchestrating the pace and process of change to ensure delivery of outcomes and sustain colleague engagement.
  • Establish and monitor organization and talent metrics aligned to business strategy and drive leadership development and coaching.
  • Lead, mentor and grow the world‑class internal colleague team; support in attracting, retaining, and engaging a diverse and inclusive workforce.
  • Travel as needed per business demands.
Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of strategic Human Resources experience, including 8+ years of HR leadership with a P/L in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Strong preference for HR leadership supporting Executive leadership (C‑Suite).
  • Experience identifying business opportunities and implementing people strategies to address business needs.
  • Ability to build strong relationships, coach and develop colleagues at all levels.
  • Critical‑thinking skills; ability to develop, document and effectively communicate strategies.
  • Proven communication and collaboration skills with business leadership, HR peers and centers of excellence.
Education

Bachelor’s Degree required. Advanced Degree preferred.

Pay Range

$ – $. The actual base salary will depend on experience, education, geography and other factors. Additional compensation includes bonus, commission or short‑term incentive and equity award program.
