We are recruiting for a Distinguished Engineer specializing in Data Center Infrastructure and Hybrid Compute/Store Platforms. In this high‑impact role, you will lead the architecture and design of cutting‑edge data center compute, storage, BMaaS, and IaaS platforms that underpin our mission‑critical healthcare and retail operations. This role demands a systems thinker who thrives in large‑scale enterprise data center environments, prioritizes cohesive infrastructure resilience and operational excellence over individual technology deployments.

You need to have a proven track record of building enterprise data center compute platforms from scratch. You'll drive the evolution of hybrid infrastructure spanning traditional virtualization and modern container orchestration while ensuring seamless workload management, automation at scale, and platform reliability across VMware vSphere, Kubernetes, Open Shift, and enterprise storage systems. You will serve as a thought leader and mentor for infrastructure teams, ensuring our data center compute strategy is robust, innovative, and aligned with evolving business objectives.

• Strategic Infrastructure Architecture & Design
• Drive the end‑to‑end architecture for highly scalable, resilient data center compute and storage platforms spanning VMware virtualization, Kubernetes orchestration, Open Shift container and virtualization platforms, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational requirements.
• Partner with other Distinguished Engineers, designers, and executive leadership to shape the long‑term infrastructure modernization roadmap, with specific milestones for hybrid cloud integration and data center optimization initiatives.
• Champion best practices for high‑availability, performance optimization, security, and cost efficiency across virtualized and containerized workloads in enterprise data center environments.
• Platform Development & Infrastructure Automation
• Oversee the design and development of new hybrid infrastructure platforms from the ground up, setting the standard for data center automation and infrastructure orchestration in large, complex enterprises.
• Implement robust infrastructure‑as‑code frameworks, automated provisioning workflows, and self‑service platforms for seamless scaling of compute, storage, and containerized services.
• Foster an engineering culture that values infrastructure reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement in data center operations.
• Hybrid Workload Management & Emerging Technologies
• Provide thought leadership on how traditional virtualization and modern containerization create complementary infrastructure outcomes, including workload placement strategies, resource optimization, and migration patterns between platforms.
• Understand how to modernize legacy data center workloads through strategic virtualization and containerization approaches while maintaining business continuity.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging data center technologies (e.g., software‑defined storage, edge computing, etc.) and guide their integration into the broader infrastructure stack.
• Cross‑Functional Leadership & Mentoring
• Serve as a key technical advisor for executive leadership, translating complex infrastructure architectural decisions into clear business value propositions and operational efficiency gains.
