Position DescriptionCVS Health offers an exciting opportunity to join our PBM Finance Business Intelligence & Automation team, as a Senior Automation Engineer. You will develop a deep understanding of PBM Finance data and business processes as you transform existing processes into scalable, autonomous solutions across the Finance Organization.
To be successful in this role, you need to be a self-starter with strategic focus and bias for action, and have experience in design thinking, continuous process improvement, systems analysis, solution architecture and development, and data integration. You need to have proven leadership qualities with the ability to influence without direct control, strong relationship building skills, and a drive for fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Ideal candidates will be customer-centric and mission-focused, and will bring passion and energy to the team and organization. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of PBM BIAA Automation.
- Provide a strong conceptual and technical vision to effectively automate complex business processes, delivering efficiency gains, cost reduction, quality and compliance improvements
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, project teams, Process Engineers, IT, etc. to drive project execution and deliver successful, automated solutions
- Translate stakeholder business requirements into clear technical specifications, delivering solutions using agile methods
- Promote engineering excellence and maintain close oversight of technical execution to deliver reliable, scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions
- Develop comprehensive documentation of automated processes, ensuring clarity, accuracy and ease of understanding for future reference and maintenance
- Continuously develop your automation knowledge evaluating and evolving processes, best practices, and tools
- Maintain and enhance solutions developed by yourself or others, ensuring optimal performance
- Lead by example to champion a culture of continuous improvement, curiosity, collaboration, and innovation
- 3+ years of experience in software/application development, engineering and business process automation (BPA)
- 3+ years of development experience in SQL and Python
- 3+ years of UiPath, Automation Anywhere (AA), or other RPA tools
- 3+ years analyzing claims data and/or other large datasets
- 3+ years converting business requirements to technical specifications
- 2+ years developing BPA solutions in a distributed cloud environment, preferably GCP
- Experience in healthcare/insurance, PBM, or pharmacy services
- Experience leveraging GenAI and other emerging frameworks to automate complex business processes
- Experience with ETL tools, data mining and data wrangling software, Dataiku, Alteryx, Trifacta, etc.
- Database management experience; preferred technologies:
Big Query, SQL Server, & SAP HANA - Familiarity with natural language processing, text analytics, semantic technology, and machine learning
- Experience working in agile environment
- Highly adaptive, with the ability to quickly assimilate new information and adapt to emerging technologies
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean Thinking and Six Sigma, etc.)
- Proficiency with Office 365 applications
- Strong communication skills with proven ability to share ideas with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required
- Master's degree preferred
