Responsibilities- Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provide direct patient care within scope of practice.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and supervise other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU.
- Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patient clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, abnormal results, and symptomatology.
- Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
- Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate on hire and maintained thereafter.
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital; critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
