32hrs/week

6:45am - 3:15pm with evening rotation

• Provide psychiatric/mental health nursing care: treat patients, educate patients about mental and medical conditions, and offer emotional support to patients and/or families; run therapeutic groups; provide psychiatric crisis intervention; and follow seclusion and restraint protocols as applicable.
• Record patients’ medical histories and symptoms; assist with diagnostic tests and analysis of results; operate medical equipment; administer treatments and medications; and assist with patient follow-up and rehabilitation.
• Educate patients and families on managing illness or injury, including diet and exercise programs and self-administration of medications and physical therapy.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Maintain a Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
• Demonstrate Behavioral Violence Prevention principles within 6 months of hire and maintain current annually.

• Must have current and valid State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Working knowledge of Mental Health Laws and practice standards.
• Working knowledge of interdisciplinary treatment team process, behavioral health programming and daily nursing functions for inpatient and outpatient behavioral health units.
• Working knowledge of the continuum of care for behavioral health care.
