Staff Accountant

This is a full-time Staff Accountant role, located in the Greater Wooster, Ohio area. • Mission:
  Drive core accounting functions and support financial operations with direct exposure to senior leadership.
• Tech Stack:
  Excel, ERP systems (learning required)

• Close:
  Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Record:
  Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts.
• Manage:
  Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank/credit card reconciliations.
• Oversee:
  Maintain inventory and cost accounting records.
• Analyze:
  Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Background:
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, suitable for an early-career accountant with a strong foundational understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience:
  
  1–3 years of accounting experience; comfort with learning and adapting to ERP systems.
• Skills:
  
  Strong Excel proficiency, solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), general ledger accounting.
• Bonus:
  Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or packaging environments is a plus.
