FAES | ATI Animal Sciences and Technologies The instructor will be responsible for teaching ANMLTEC 3800T:
Farm Business Management, a four-credit hour course with eight contact hours per week. This course focuses on the application of business and financial management principles to modern agricultural enterprises. Students will develop skills in recordkeeping, budgeting, cost analysis, financial statement preparation, and risk management, as well as decision-making strategies that support profitability and sustainability across diverse agricultural operations.## Duties and Responsibilities
* Deliver weekly lectures and interactive sessions using real-world farm business case studies.
* Develop, implement, and evaluate course materials, assignments, and assessments aligned with program objectives.
* Teach students how to prepare and interpret enterprise budgets, cash flow statements, and balance sheets.
* Introduce and demonstrate the use of farm financial management and recordkeeping software tools.
* Maintain accurate records of student performance and submit grades according to institutional policies.
* Provide guidance and mentorship to students, emphasizing the application of financial and managerial principles to practical farm operations.
* Collaborate with the Division Chair and other faculty to ensure course content aligns with program and industry needs.## ##
Minimum Qualifications
* Strong background in farm management, agricultural economics, or agribusiness operations.
* Proficiency in financial analysis, enterprise budgeting, and risk management for agricultural enterprises.
* Previous teaching or professional training experience in agricultural business or a related field.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Ability to connect business and financial concepts to real-world agricultural applications.
