CNC Machinist, Machine Operator, CMM Programmer/Operator, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
Job Description
A large machine shop running dozens of CNC machines is hiring a CNC Programmer who also sets up the machine.
This is a shop-floor job, not an office programming seat. You take a drawing, write the program, choose and set the tooling, set up the machine, prove out the part, and then turn the machine over to an operator.
What you will do:
- Write CNC programs from part drawings (G-code and M-code)
- Choose and set tooling, set offsets, and set up lathes and mills
- Adjust programs and offsets for the material in front of you
- Prove out new parts, prototypes and customer orders, then hand the machine to the operator
What you need:
- Hands-on CNC setup experience
- Programming from a drawing, not only changing offsets
- Checking your own programs for errors, dimensions and rapid moves before you run them
Pay: $21 to $35 per hour, based on experience. Full time, permanent. Start as soon as you are available.
Apply through this posting. Qualified applicants will be contacted within one business day.
Equal opportunity employer.
