Night Shift Warehouse Associate/Backup Driver – Wooster, OH

Wolff Bros. is looking for a warehouse associate for our Wooster Branch. Some duties include stocking materials, pulling items from to fill customer orders, inter-company transfers, conducts inventory, etc.

Work Week &

Hours:

Monday-Friday, 1:00 AM-9:30 AM

Pay: $18.00+ (with shift difference .75) plus quarterly bonuses: accuracy, safety & performance

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, etc.
• Previous warehouse experience
• Forklift experience preferred, not required

• Warehouse- receiving and checking in transfer and over the road material- put away- using a bar code scanner to put away assist drivers in the morning loading trucks- pulling add on's counting inventory using order pickers, electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, tow motors
• Assist transfer drivers in cross docking, loading, and unloading of transfer material.
• Sort and process inbound transfers.
• Stage material received via transfers for either delivery or pickup at will call
• Precisely perform proper procedures when receiving items and applying bar code labels.
• Assist drivers to load material for early morning deliveries.
• Back up driver but mostly warehouse material handling
• Manually move small items from pallets (skids) to and from storage shelves or use industrial lift truck to move bigger items in large item storage bays.
• Transfer items from pallets (skids) to correct storage shelves (home slot) or overstock locations by reading the item label, put away plate or by checking the bar code reader
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and completeness to update system records to properly record the location of material.
• Understand and properly perform procedures for stocking new items.
• Understand, plan, and execute the optimal layout of material on shipping docks and transfer docks to properly place outgoing material in correct staging area.
• Properly complete any associated with the work activity.
• Make sure boxes are packaged for safe travel.
• Conduct inventory reviews as directed using proper procedures and bar code scanner.
• Safely uses all equipment including, but not limited to, powered industrial trucks, pallet jacks, cutting machines, bar code reader, carts, conveyors, doors, gates, etc.
• May also perform duties in the following specialized areas: will call, wire aisle, overhead crane bay, and pipe yard.
• Keep work area in neat, clean, and safe condition.
• Work during night hours (late PM to early AM).
• Eligible for shift differential pay in line with company standard operating procedure for nighttime positions.
• Other duties as assigned by manager.
