Academic Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon Opportunity in Worcester, MA

UMass Memorial Children’s Medical Center is seeking a board-eligible/board-certified (BE/BC) Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon to join our Division of Pediatric Orthopedics. This academic role offers a unique blend of clinical practice, resident and medical student training, and potential research opportunities, all within a collaborative environment affiliated with the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School.

Description

As part of our dynamic team, you will provide comprehensive pediatric orthopedic care across Central Massachusetts, treating a wide range of conditions from infancy through adolescence. Our experts handle everything from fractures and sports injuries to scoliosis, congenital disorders, cerebral palsy, and hip/foot issues. You’ll play a key role in training orthopedic residents and medical students at UMass Chan Medical School, with opportunities to pursue research interests.

This position is ideal for surgeons who thrive in an academic setting, fostering innovation and excellence in patient care.

Requirements
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery
  • Strong commitment to medical education and training
  • Interest in research is highly valued
  • Academic appointment commensurate with experience and training
  • Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment
Compensation & Benefits
  • Competitive salary range: $375,000 – $420,000 (final offer based on experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity)

  • Dual employment as a clinician in UMass Memorial Health and faculty member at UMass Chan Medical School
