Position
Adjunct instructors teach courses within a specific discipline to a diverse student population on our main campus in Worcester and/or at additional satellite locations within our service area. We are especially interested in instructors who are qualified to teach general biology, anatomy & physiology, and medical microbiology courses. Courses assigned are primarily day courses, and responsibilities include instructional preparation, assessment of student performance and assistance to students.
Adjunct faculty will attend a limited number of faculty meetings.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Biology/Science Education or related discipline
- One year of successfully teaching General Biology and/or Anatomy & Physiology lecture and laboratory in high school, or successfully teaching General Biology, Organismal Biology, and/or Anatomy & Physiology lecture and laboratory to Health Care majors.
- Documented examples of syllabus / course development and assessment
- Demonstrated experience using a Learning Management System
- Demonstrated experience in using technology in the teaching of biology in the classroom, including publisher web-based content
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other Biology instructors
- Demonstrated experience teaching in a remote videoconferencing modality
- Ability to teach day, evening or weekend
