- Assist students enrolled in didactic coursework with content acquisition and application, critical thinking, and clinical skill development as it relates to learning outcomes for the courses. Content includes but is not limited to Anatomy, Pharmacology, Clinical Medicine, Cardiopulmonary, Musculoskeletal and Neuromuscular evaluation and intervention.
- Offer tutoring session availability in an in‑person and/or online/virtual format.
- Provide tailored guidance as it relates to medical knowledge, clinical knowledge, and professionalism for DPT students.
- Provide strategies for students to actively apply on their own/outside the tutoring session to check for understanding.
- Collaborate with the applicable course instructor to determine primary content areas to focus on with students.
- Provide feedback to the student specific to subject matter.
- Use the University’s learning management and scheduling system to communicate with students and document sessions.
- Provide feedback to the program director as to student progress and/or trends observed while working with students in a tutoring capacity.
- Provide engaging activities during sessions that demonstrate the real‑world applications of concepts covered.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor.
- Must hold a Masters or Doctoral degree from an accredited PT Program.
- Active license to practice PT in Massachusetts.
- Commitment to undergraduate, graduate and/or professional education and student success.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals).
The pay range associated with this posting reflects the amount the University reasonably expects to pay for this role at this time. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity, market data and pay in comparison to similarly situated employees doing comparable work.
Hiring Range: $44.50/hr
