Quinsigamond Community College is seeking a tenured track position in the early childhood education department. This position facilitates learning for students enrolled in Early Childhood Education courses. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strong commitment to student success, academic background in early childhood education and teaching experience.
The full‑time workload for this position may take place in day, evening or online.
Supervision ReceivedThe full‑time faculty member reports directly to the Dean Business, Education, Public Service and Social Sciences
Supervision ExercisedThe full‑time faculty member exercises supervision over any personnel assigned to him/her.
Duties and Responsibilities- Instruct a broad range of Early Childhood Education course(s).
- Provide classroom instruction and facilitate individualized, non‑traditional and online approaches to learning as appropriate.
- Develop and/or revise instructional materials with other faculty members.
- Develop and apply instructional methods that engage students of varying backgrounds and abilities.
- Develop and apply assessment strategies that maximize the learning process and measure student learning outcomes.
- Actively participate in ongoing curriculum, program reviews and NAEYC accreditation.

- Participate in college service activities in concert with the provisions of the MCCC Agreement.
- Actively supports the teaching and learning process; practicing honesty and integrity in and out of the classroom; striving to create and support a student‑centered environment while fostering academic innovation and excellence.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with internal and external colleagues as needed to recruit and retain students.
- Provides flexible, responsive and high quality service to all, be they students, community, or staff, and continuously assessing processes and procedures and revising accordingly.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in early childhood education
- Experience teaching courses at a high school or a college
- Experience working collaboratively and collegially with colleagues to achieve academic and institutional goals
- Community or technical college teaching experience.
- Documented examples of curriculum / course development and assessment.
- Demonstrated track record in innovative, non‑traditional modes of instruction and instructional delivery.
- Well‑articulated understanding of the role of community colleges, their students and philosophy.
- Experience working in an early childhood classroom.
- Administration experience
- Familiarity and/or experience with apprenticeship
- Evidence of, understanding of and appreciation for diversity and multiculturalism.
- Experience designing, conducting, and analyzing results from psychological research.
- Predisposition to working in a dynamic environment requiring flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork.
