Help Early Educators Grow with Arbor Arbor Associates is seeking a compassionate, experiencedCDA Mentor to support educators working toward their

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential.

This part-time opportunity is ideal for an early childhood professional who enjoys mentoring adult learners, sharing practical knowledge, and helping future educators build confidence and succeed.

As a CDA Mentor, you will provide coaching, guidance, feedback, and technical assistance to educators within the Child Care Services Division. You will support staff throughout the CDA process while encouraging developmentally appropriate practices, professional growth, and compliance with EEC standards.

Responsibilities
  • Mentor and coach staff working toward their CDA credential.
  • Help educators navigate the CDA process and work toward professional development goals.
  • Conduct classroom and practitioner observations and provide respectful, constructive feedback.
  • Support curriculum implementation and developmentally appropriate teaching practices.
  • Model effective classroom documentation practices.
  • Help programs understand and maintain EEC licensing requirements and curriculum guidelines.
  • Share resources and strategies that reflect educators’ learning styles, cultures, languages, and individual needs.
  • Support educators working with children with a range of developmental needs and abilities.
  • Encourage confidence, independence, and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate records of mentoring activities, observations, and progress.
  • Maintain confidentiality and positive relationships with educators and program staff.
