Job DescriptionA Senior Process Engineer who is part of a multidisciplinary team capable of driving necessary engineering changes and improvements to manufacturing. Working with little or no supervision, this individual applies scientific knowledge, engineering knowledge, mathematics, and ingenuity to complete assignments related to a specific technical field or discipline. The Senior Engineer should have general knowledge of other related disciplines beyond their own area of expertise.
Responsibilities- Plan and conduct medium‑sized projects within engineering specialty, requiring conventional plans, investigations, and/or equipment.
- Manage multiple, often concurrent, projects and meet deadlines while achieving the project's financial targets in support of business objectives.
- Generate validated change plans with validation requirements, maintain project controls and reporting for cost, scope, and schedule, and develop execution strategy including procurement.
- Support capital projects in design, validation, FAT, SAT, and specification review for production equipment.
- Lead troubleshooting activities and mentor less senior engineering staff to resolve process/equipment issues during project execution.
- Communicate required actions to internal and external stakeholders with varying levels of technical acumen.
- Identify innovative solutions for issues on the production floor, balancing system costs with benefits provided.
- Represent engineering on corporate task forces and engage in continuous improvement of other engineers.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent technical experience plus demonstrated competence. A minimum of 5+ years of significant engineering and/or operational experience is required; a post‑graduate education is desired.
- Demonstrated competency within a discipline and strong technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Experience in analyzing complex problems where multiple competing factors are involved; ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to negotiate, reconcile differences, and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators.
- Experience in health care, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biologics, or similar industries is preferred.
- Proficiency with financial systems and fiscal control.
- The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position.
