Pay: $20.50/hr awake hours (additional $1/hr differential for active MAP certification)
This role provides direct support or services with a higher level of skill or experience, contributing to our service recipients' care and support while maintaining quality, service excellence and ethical standards. This role may train or supervise direct support employees and works closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement individualized care plans that align with each person's goals and needs. - Provide day‑to‑day services to program participants, including bathing, toileting, teeth brushing, housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, and supporting independent living.
- Assist or teach individuals with varying levels of personal care and life skills.
- Accompany individuals to appointments and school as needed.
- Administer medications or assist individuals to self‑medicate in accordance with residential guidelines.
- Follow behavior support plans, personal care routines, physical therapy, and other program plans.
- Contribute to individualized care plans and work closely with a multidisciplinary team.
- Five‑day New Employee Orientation.
- Training on CPR/First Aid, Safety Care, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP).
- Program‑specific onsite training.
- 18 years or older.
- High school diploma, GED, or HiSET required.
- 1–3 years of related experience preferred.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- CPR/First Aid and MAP certification required (paid training provided if needed).
- Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community.
- Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.
- Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior in work, volunteer or school history.
- Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of your team.
