Education:

Formal 2‑year radiologic technology training in an AMA‑approved school that meets requirements for registry by the ARRT.

Experience:

At least two years in an acute‑care setting with specific experience in CT Scan (computerized tomography) components.

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in computed tomography; OR
• Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification (NMTCB) in computed tomography; OR
• ARRT (R) or NMTCB certification AND documented training on computed tomography
• State license if required
• American Heart Association BLS
• CT registry within 6 months
• AHA BLS

The CT (Computerized Tomography) Tech is responsible for performing diagnostic procedures utilizing radiation detection and imaging equipment. Provides quality care to patients of all age groups; from newborn to elderly, according to department standards. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
