Mobile Health Paramedic Coastal Medical Transportation Service

Estella Health (sub brand of CMTS) is seeking new and experienced Mobile Healthcare Paramedics to join our rapidly expanding team in our public health division!

Currently we are seeking paramedics with a minimum of one (1) year experience in an MIH setting. Mobile Health industry leading pay rates with additional compensation based on experience. $3/hr differentials apply for overnights and weekends! Full time and Part Time available!

Now offering up to $7,500 Sign on Bonus, with average starting salary of over $100K

Mobile Healthcare Paramedics are delivering effective and efficient care to patients wherever, whenever they need it. Providers will be challenged both clinically and cognitively while operating with an expanded scope of practice. Providers are expected to work both individually and as part of a care coordination team to ensure patients receive the best possible care while reducing the need for hospital admission and readmission.

Purpose

Under the direction of the CMTS leadership team, the public health division, physician medical director, and supervisory staff, paramedics will provide safe and effective mobile-based medical care with an expanded scope of practice above paramedic level. Providers will deliver care in a variety of settings and are expected to maintain professionalism and dignity with each interaction.

Essential Duties
  • Provide safe and effective mobile health-based medical care with expanded scope above the paramedic level based on clinical policies, statewide treatment protocols and standards of care
  • Attend to all patients in a professional, courteous manner.
  • Operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Complete patient care documentation in a timely and comprehensive fashion and obtain information to facilitate reimbursement for all patients treated, when appropriate.
  • Adhere to and value CMTS policies and procedures.
  • Maintain clinical proficiency and knowledge base.
  • Retrieve, stock, and clean medical equipment.
  • Clean, organize, and restock vehicles following each shift, as necessary.
  • Report to assigned shifts punctually in a complete, clean uniform.
  • Protect the privacy of all protected health information in accordance with CMTS policies, procedures, and practices as required by federal and state law, and in accordance with the general principles of professionalism as a healthcare provider.
  • Accept responsibility for maintaining certification / recertification as a paramedic in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; complete appropriate continuing education courses in a timely fashion; remain current in certifications of Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support.
Compensation
  • $35/hr-$40/hr with additional compensation for some certifications and experience
  • $3/hr night and weekend shift differential

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma, GED, or other equivalent.
  • Currently certified and in good standing as a paramedic by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Public Health (DPH), Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS).
  • Current Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider certification (American Heart Association)
  • Current Advanced Life Support certification (American Heart Association)
  • Current motor vehicle operator’s license
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions using the English language.
Physical Requirements

The physical demands of the position require physical strength and dexterity along with the ability to function in adverse environments with potential exposure to numerous health and safety risks inherent in mobile healthcare and the healthcare environment. It is expected that after performance of any or all the physical requirements described below would not hinder the clinician’s ability to perform patient care.

  • The ability to walk a distance of ¼ mile without difficulty.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs without difficulty.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend / stoop, crouch / kneel, reach, push / pull, and grasp in a variety of circumstances and positions to facilitate patient movement and provide care.
