American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Long Term Care setting requiring CCC certification and 1 year of LTC or Rehab experience.
Requirements- Current CCC certification (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Massachusetts state SLP license required if applicable
- At least 1 year of SLP experience required
- New graduates accepted if they have completed a Level II clinical fieldwork experience (Level I observation alone not accepted)
- Experience in a LTC or SNF setting required
- One professional reference required for consideration
- Long Term Care (LTC) setting within a Speech Language Pathology department
- Caseload typically includes 10-14 patients per day with treatment sessions averaging 30 minutes
- Days shift, 8 hours per day
- May float to Parsons as needed
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- 13 week assignment
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
- Develop and adjust individualized plans of care based on patient progress and standardized assessments
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical standards
- Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system accurately and timely
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
- Attend required facility and company trainings and in-services
- Obtain necessary DME or supplies per clinical and regulatory requirements
- Supervise and support Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or student SLPs as needed
- Maintain adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics
- Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) may be accommodated
