We are currently seeking a Recovery Coach to join our Peer Support Services team within Emergency Services and help empower adults on their unique paths to recovery.

- Provide Recovery Coaching services for a minimum of twenty adults eligible for coaching services
- Support adults in creating personalized wellness plans, teaching SMART goal setting and how to break down big goals into smaller steps
- Use motivational interviewing skills to help elicit goals, action steps, self-empowerment, and motivation for change
- Help adults explore and find their own unique recovery pathways
- Provide encouragement to maintain or increase commitment to healthy, recovery behaviors through active problem solving, hope installation, modeling recovery behaviors, and developing personalized relapse prevention plans
- Provide weekly coaching sessions (no less than 15 minutes, more often as needed, especially in early recovery) and meet with adults in person at least once per month
- Support and teach individuals about building Recovery Capital, including access to healthcare, food, shelter, clothing, and benefits/income
- Provide linkages and warm hand-offs to needed recovery and other services and resources
- Work with individuals to identify and overcome barriers to full engagement in recovery
- Complete all Recovery Coach documentation in accordance with program and agency standards, including wellness plans, contact notes, EIM-ESM enrollment/disenrollment forms, and insurance re-authorization questionnaires
- Conduct one Recovery Coaching information session in the community per month
- Attend required in-service trainings, staff meetings, and weekly supervision
- Minimum of High School Diploma or GED required
- Lived experience of addiction and recovery, with a minimum of 2 years of sustained sobriety
- Passion for helping others find their own unique pathway to recovery
- Familiarity with a wide range of recovery support services, including peer-based recovery supports
- Completion of Recovery Coach Academy and Ethical Considerations trainings by BSAS-approved providers required either before hire or within 4 weeks of hire
- Certification by the Massachusetts Board of Substance Use Counselor Certifications required within 1-2 years of hire
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and reliable vehicle required for all working hours

Pay Range: $21.50-$24.00/hr
