Travel PTA - Long Term Acute Care

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant for a Long Term Care setting, requiring an active PTA license and 1+ years of PTA experience in LTC or Rehab.

• Active PTA license required (if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of PTA experience required
• Experience in a Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting required
• New graduates considered if they have completed a Level II clinical experience
• One professional reference required at time of consideration

• Work in a Long Term Care (LTC) facility within the Physical Therapy unit
• Day shift schedule consisting of 8-hour shifts
• No weekend or on-call requirements
• Provide rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist
• Administer treatment techniques including manual therapy, ambulation training, therapeutic exercises, and use of assistive devices
• Assess patient progress and communicate with supervising Physical Therapist to adjust treatment plans
• Document all treatment information in the electronic documentation system per regulatory requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and other required facility meetings
• May supervise and support PTA students under the guidance of the Physical Therapist
• Adhere to APTA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics standards
• Up to 5 days of requested time off (RTO) may be accommodated
