Guidewire Policy Center Developer Lead

Title: Guidewire Policy Center Lead Developer

Work Location: Worcester, MA (Hybrid)

Duration: 1+ Year Contract

Development & Configuration:

• Customize and enhance Policy Center workflows, entities, business rules, and user interfaces using Gosu, PCF, and Guidewire Studio.
• Develop reusable components and frameworks to accelerate future development efforts.

Integration:

• Design, develop, and maintain integrations with external systems (Billing Center, Claim Center, third‑party services) using APIs, web services (SOAP/REST), and messaging queues.
• Ensure robust and secure data exchange across platforms.

Requirements & Design:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and analysts to analyze requirements and translate business needs into scalable technical designs.
• Create and maintain detailed design and configuration documentation.
• Work closely with architects, QA, business analysts, and other developers within Agile teams (participate in sprints, daily stand‑ups, retrospectives).
• Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing best practices and technical expertise.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct unit, integration, and system testing, ensuring solutions meet functional and performance requirements.
• Perform code reviews, optimize application performance, and enforce coding standards.

Support:

• Provide production support for Policy Center applications, including troubleshooting, defect resolution, and root cause analysis.
• Support release management and deployment activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Guidewire Policy Center development and integration.
• Demonstrated leadership in technical delivery and team collaboration.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Must be onsite at least 2 days/week in Worcester, Massachusetts.

• Deep expertise in Policy Center, Gosu programming, Guidewire Studio, and PCF configuration.
• Proficient in Java and Gosu.
• Experience developing and consuming web services (SOAP/REST).
• Experience with Agile methodologies and Dev Ops practices.
• Knowledge of integration patterns and scalable solution design.
• Strong understanding of P&C insurance domain and data modeling.

• Git/Bitbucket (version control).
• SOAP UI, Postman (API testing).

• Guidewire certifications (Policy Center, Integration) are a plus.
• Experience with other Guidewire modules (Billing Center, Claim Center).
• Prior experience in insurance or financial services domains.
