Senior Solution Engineer

As our Senior Solution Engineer for North America, you’ll partner with our Sales team to drive strategic growth across the US and Canada. You own the technical win — combining deep Microsoft 365 expertise with consultative discovery, compelling storytelling, and practical solution design.

You help customers envision the future of their digital workplace, translate business needs into clear architectures, and make Powell’s value tangible to IT, Communications, HR, Security, and executive stakeholders.

• Lead consultative discovery workshops, tailored demos, and solution design sessions
• Own the technical strategy for complex enterprise opportunities, including technical discovery, solution architecture, security reviews, competitive positioning, RFPs, and technical validation
• Identify technical blockers, decision criteria, implementation risks, stakeholder concerns, and competitive threats early in the sales cycle, and work with the AE to convert them into a clear technical win plan
• Enable and grow the partner ecosystem through webinars, events, and technical training
• Create and maintain technical assets (demo environments, reference architectures, guides)
• Collect field feedback and collaborate with Product & R&D to improve the product
• Participate in US digital workplace communities (SharePoint, Copilot, M365) to build Powell's visibility
• Contribute to customer and partner satisfaction throughout the full sales cycle

Occasional travel across the US & Canada + annual SKO in Paris

• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, One Drive)
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, identity, governance, security, integrations, and data flows across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem
• Good understanding of enterprise AI and knowledge management, including Microsoft Copilot, AI search, enterprise knowledge discovery, governance, permissions, grounding, and responsible AI considerations
• Hands-on experience configuring and deploying solutions in M365 environments
• Understanding of cloud/SaaS fundamentals, Azure concepts, and security basics
• Familiarity with digital workplace governance, adoption, and change management
• Exposure to Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and M365 analytics is a plus
• Powell Software experience is a plus

• 10+ years in technical presales, solution engineering, or partner/customer enablement for enterprise SaaS
• A strong technical storyteller — you turn demos into outcome-driven narratives
• Comfortable navigating complex enterprise buying committees (IT, HR, Legal, Procurement, execs)
• Curious, proactive, and a fast learner
• Creative problem-solver who builds trust with partners and customers
• Low-ego, high-accountability — you make the team better
• French language skills are a plus (especially for Quebec-based opportunities)
