Are you looking for an opportunity to learn and grow your career? Our law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to provide legal counsel to clients, specializing in estate administration and probate matters.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
  • 100% of estate administration court deadlines met, or motions filed for extensions.
  • All billable time entered by the end of each week.
  • Compensation and Benefits:

    $90,000 - $100,000, 401(k), benefits, and bonus

    Responsibilities:
    • Attend court hearings, perform legal research, and assist senior attorneys.
    • Maintain organized client files for efficient case management.
    • Communicate effectively with clients, senior attorneys, and support staff.
    • Analyze legal issues and develop strategic options.
    • Create legal documents such as briefs, motions, pleadings, contracts, and settlement agreements.
    • Manage all estate administration matters, including follow-up calls with clients.
    • Develop estate administration plans and coordinate next steps with the team.
    • Review pleadings prepared by legal assistants and paralegals.
    • Ensure timely submission of pleadings according to estate timelines.
    • Resolve court issues related to probate matters.
    • Communicate compassionately and effectively with clients via email, phone, and in person.
    • Accurately track and submit billable time weekly.
    Qualifications:
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Passed the bar exam and licensed in Massachusetts.
    • 2-3 years of experience in Massachusetts probate law.
    • Proficiency with technology and practice management software.
    • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
    Education and Experience:
    • J.D. from an accredited law school.
    • Active Massachusetts Bar Licensure.
    Physical Requirements:
    • Prolonged periods of sitting and working at a computer.
