Traditional Labor Law Attorney – Worcester, MA

Our client, a respected and well‑established law firm with a strong footprint across Massachusetts, is seeking an experienced Traditional Labor Law Attorney to join their Worcester office. This is a strategic hire for a practice that continues to grow and is looking for an attorney who can immediately contribute to a robust portfolio of union‑side or management‑side labor matters (depending on your preference and background).

This role is ideal for an attorney who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys the full spectrum of traditional labor work, including collective bargaining, grievance arbitration, and labor‑related litigation. The Worcester office offers the resources of a larger firm with the collegiality and work‑life balance of a regional practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in all aspects of traditional labor law, including collective bargaining negotiations, grievance and interest arbitrations, and administrative proceedings.
  • Advise clients on labor‑management relations, contract interpretation, and compliance with federal and state labor laws.
  • Handle matters before the NLRB, state labor boards, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Draft and review labor contracts, policies, and related documents.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on union organizing campaigns, workplace disputes, and labor‑related risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice groups to support client needs and firm initiatives.
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school and admission (or eligibility for admission) to the Massachusetts Bar.
  • 3+ years of experience in traditional labor law; experience with collective bargaining and arbitration is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and maintain strong client relationships.
