Job Title: Youth and Family Specialist (Spanish Required)

Pay Range: $24.61 per hour

Position Overview

Our Unaccompanied Refugee Minor Program seeks a dedicated Family Resource Specialist to place Refugee children and youth into safe, reliable, and loving foster homes. The specialist will identify, match, train, prepare, and develop foster families, ensuring all documentation is complete, current, and compliant with regulatory standards. This role requires strong relationships with state agencies, funding sources, stakeholders, families, and youth, and involves monthly visits to foster families to document progress and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Identify, match, train, prepare, and develop foster families for refugee minors.
  • Ensure all required documentation and training are completed and up‑to‑date.
  • Maintain relationships with state agencies, funding entities, stakeholders, families, and youth.
  • Conduct monthly visits to foster families to document families’ progress and growth.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet program goals and maintain high service standards.
  • Award necessary follow‑up and support to foster families and youth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field with 1 year of experience.
  • Eligibility for LSW licensure.
  • Experience working with refugee minors, the foster care system, and diverse populations.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong follow‑through ability.
  • Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Ability to exercise independent sound clinical judgment and decision‑making for the best interest of children and families.
  • Open to new ideas and willing to grow professionally; flexible thinking and scheduling.

Location

Worcester, MA. The position requires frequent in‑person travel throughout Massachusetts and occasional travel throughout New England.
