REGISTERED NURSE – PEDIACTRIC INTENSIVE CARE UNIT

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment.

• Two (2) years PICU experience required.

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents requiring intensive monitoring and treatment.
• Perform ongoing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care according to established standards.
• Manage high-acuity patients, including ventilated, post-operative, trauma, and medically complex cases.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions safely and accurately.
• Respond promptly to rapid changes in patient condition; utilize critical thinking in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, social workers, and other team members to coordinate care.
• Educate and support patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and care expectations.
• Document all patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to all infection control protocols.
• Participate in unit-based initiatives, quality improvement projects, and professional development activities.

• Ability to adapt to rotating shifts (Day/Night rotation) and collaborate in a team-driven environment
