American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Telemetry position requiring 2 years of experience and an active MA RN license.

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital environment
• Supports surge/overflow patients, with some floating to the ED to care for boarder patients
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Shift start time offers flexibility of up to four hours earlier or later based on department need
• EOW/EOH (every other weekend/every other holiday) requirement
• 48 hours per week for a 13-week assignment
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active MA RN license required
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience with chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur Evac), spinal precautions, PCA pumps, and epidurals preferred
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs
• Trauma Level I hospital experience preferred

• Provide nursing care to telemetry patients including cardiac monitoring and emergency response
• Must pass a pass/fail medication exam and EKG/telemetry test during in-person orientation, with only one attempt allowed
• Study materials are provided in advance to support exam preparation
• Must be able to work all 7 days of the week due to union facility scheduling requirements
• Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week
• Holiday coverage allows 1 of the 3 major upcoming holidays as RTO
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
