American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active MA RN license and at least 1-2 years of recent ER experience.
Details- Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
- Evening shift schedule of 3x12 hours, 15:00-03:00
- Every other weekend and every other holiday (EOW/EOH) requirement
- Shift start time has flexibility of four hours earlier or later based on critical department need
- Uses Epic for charting
- Preferred candidates have OB experience and ability to titrate cardiac drips
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations, must be able to work all 7 days
- Active MA RN license required
- 1-2 years of recent emergency department experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
- Preferred experience in a Level I Trauma Center
- Skills required:
respiratory care, care of ventilated patients, medication administration, continuous IV sedation, cardiac monitoring and emergency response, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Preferred skills: titration of critical care drips, triage, FHM, Psych/Behavioral Health ED experience
- Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Must pass a pass/fail medication exam and a pass/fail telemetry exam during orientation, each with one attempt allowed
- Exempt from the telemetry testing requirement if assigned to Mother Baby/Postpartum, Ambulatory, OR, SACU, or Psych units
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Local candidates accepted within a 200-mile radius at the same bill rate
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
