American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center, requiring an active MA RN license and 1-2 years of recent emergency department experience.
Details- Emergency Department setting within a Level I Trauma Center
- Evening shift schedule, 3x12 hours (3:00 PM-3:00 AM)
- Shift start time may flex up to 4 hours earlier or later based on critical department need
- Every other weekend/every other holiday requirement
- Uses Epic charting system
- Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days
- Active MA RN license required in hand
- At least 1-2 years of recent ER experience required; 2 years strongly preferred
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
- Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
- Preferred skills: titration of critical care drips, OB experience
- Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
- Skills in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, medication administration, continuous IV sedation, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Triage experience preferred
- Experience with FHM and Psych/Behavioral Health ED preferred
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher
- Must pass two separate pass/fail exams during orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry exam, each with only 1 attempt allowed
- Failure to pass either exam will result in immediate contract cancellation
- Multiple study materials will be provided during the compliance process and FDIs
- Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
- RNs must reside within 200 miles for consideration
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- Up to 14 days of RTO may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of the assignment
