- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to veterinary patients.
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, treatments, and surgeries.
- Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and medical information.
- Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory testing, radiographs, and other technician-level procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians.
- Monitor patients during anesthesia and recovery.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Educate clients regarding medications, treatments, preventive care, nutrition, and follow-up instructions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment and patient-care environment.
- Communicate effectively with doctors and the entire veterinary team.
- Support a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture.
- Follow established hospital protocols for patient safety, infection control, and equipment maintenance.
- Current CVT credential or eligibility for certification in MA.
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinical setting.
- Strong animal-handling and patient-care skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and compassionately with clients and coworkers.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in general veterinary practice.
- Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical-assistance skills.
- Experience with in-house laboratory equipment and diagnostic procedures.
- Familiarity with veterinary practice-management software.
