Sales and Production Associate

Overview

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Sales and Production Associate to work in a production store and in the production area. The Sales and Production Associate will maintain order and create a pleasant, hospitable work environment and sustain customer relationships while performing a wide variety of duties across store and production operations.

• Assist in creating a pleasant and hospitable work environment and maintain good customer relationships.
• Assist, as required, with store operations.
• Serve all customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Handle all donations with care and donors with respect and courtesy.
• Handle merchandise as directed, maintaining proper categories and colorization.
• Ensure that the store is sufficiently stocked and “ragged out” in accordance with the Arc Command Rag out Calendar.
• Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of store property.
• Immediately report theft, customer complaints, injuries, and any unsafe equipment or conditions to management.
• Maintain a clean and clutter-free work area.
• Be well-versed in and comply with the Guide to Thrift Store & Donation Center Operations manual.
• Support the work therapy program component by providing beneficiaries with professional conduct, work habits, and supervision as directed by the Supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor, Store Supervisor, Assistant Store Supervisor, and/or Administrator.

• Comply with all cash handling and security standards related to cash register operations, daily sales reports, and bank deposits.
• Sort, price, stock, and “rag out” showcase merchandise and other areas as directed.
• Restock fitting room merchandise back to racks in proper category and color code.
• Maintain merchandise displays as directed.
• Answer telephone calls in an efficient, friendly, professional manner.

• Sort a minimum of 300 store-quality garments per hour by department.
• Assist moving donations to the sorting table as needed.
• Assist with hanging merchandise as needed.
• Assist running clothing racks as needed.

• Hang and ticket a minimum of 225 pieces per hour of clothing on rolling racks by department, category, and color order.
• Assist moving donations to the sorting table as needed.

• Assist running clothing racks as needed.

• Price a minimum of 250 garments per hour using a range of prices based on style, quality, and condition.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of name-brand merchandise and value.
• Assist moving donations to the sorting table as needed.
• Assist with ticketing merchandise as needed.
• Assist with running clothing racks as needed.

• Place a minimum of 225 garments per hour from the production room to the sales floor on the proper rack by department, category and color order.
• Straighten and maintain clothing racks as assigned.
• Rag out merchandise per the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.
• Assist hanging merchandise as needed.

• Sort and clean all saleable miscellaneous merchandise donations daily.
• Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.
• Place and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner.
• Rag out merchandise per the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar.

• Sort and clean all saleable shoes, handbags and accessory donations daily.
• Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.
• Process to the store a minimum of 25 pieces/sets per hour maintaining all merchandise in order.

• Sort and measure all saleable linen items daily as required.
• Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item.
